Johnny spent the day yesterday painting the new baseboards and caulking all of the imperfections in the new floor. It looks amazing! I hope tomorrow to move the furniture back to the walls (instead of in the middle of the rooms where it's been for a week.) The next project will be painting 3 of the Living Room Walls (one is already painted, and will be the accent wall), and the Hall. After that, Johnny is talking about painting the bedroom doors and frames. I am being amused that we have switched rolls - he is now the one that is ready and anxious to get going on the next project, and I am the one trying to get him to slow down, even if it is just a little bit. Truthfully, I am really enjoying seeing all of this come together. Our house looks very little like it did when we moved in 5 years ago, this week. And it's been fun to get to work together on all of these things. Johnny is getting really good at this Home Improvement stuff!
Oh, by the way, the kids are both fine and back to normal. And I'm doing just fine. Unfortunately, I think Johnny might be getting a cold - here's to hoping it's just allergies! At least he remembers to cover his mouth when he coughs!

Sick and Tired of Sick and Tired
Sheesh! We are into our third week of passing illnesses to and from each other! I thought we were on the mend, but apparently, I was mistaken! Spencer started with "bad stinkies" this morning. I hope they don't last, nor get passed on to anyone else.
At least Johnny has been spared thus far.
Anyways, the sale highlights for this week are milk for $1.47 at Fry's, and eggs for $0.77 (a phenomenal price!) also at Fry's.
Safeway has milk for $1.57, and I think it's also on sale at Albertson's, but I'm not sure. I haven't taken two seconds to look at the Basha's ad, but it's probably worth checking out on their website.

They're in!
Friday, I canned 20 pints of beef, 20 pints of chicken, 8 pints of green beans, and got the house ready for baseboards.
Saturday, Johnny put in the baseboards. They look wonderful - he did such a great job! (By the way, I don't know what the funny shadows are on the baseboards in the picture. Maybe I need to clean my camera lens...)

Wedding Pictures
Anne's not to sure about her "Princess Crown". Spencer's thrilled to be at a party.
Spencer caught the bouquet. Well, he actually picked it up off the floor when none of the five little girls standing there (Anne included) caught it, and declared, "I WIN! LOOK DAD - I GOT IT! I WON!"
We have better pictures of than this one - but none of them are turned the correct way, and I'm too tired to figure out how to try and flip them around. You get the point - the bride was beautiful, the groom was handsome, and my kids were pretty dang cute!
You don't see flowers like this in Arizona! Tulips and daffodils were everywhere.
Someday, I hope to have flowers that look like this! I couldn't get enough of them!
This was the afternoon that we got there. It was 55 degrees, and overcast with a fairly strong wind. The kids thought they were going to freeze to death, and put on some snow gear that Aunt Kathy had.
