For those of you in the greater Phoenix area, I just wanted to point out a couple of sales that are going on this week.
First, Albertson's has a Monopoly promotion going on. You get a game piece every time you make a purchase, and when you buy specially marked items you get a bonus game piece. Also, for every 10 items you buy that generate bonus pieces, you get another extra piece. Yesterday, I got 12 for buying 2 gallons of milk ($1.58 each!!!), 2 cartons of eggs ($.99 each!), and 6 boxes of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese ($0.50 each!). I don't recommend buying products just to get the game pieces, but those are definitely great prices on item we needed!
Second, Safeway has Kellogg's fruit snacks for $1. I thought I had seen a coupon for these recently, but I'm not finding it right off. I'll have to keep looking. They also have Kraft shredded cheese for $1.99, and there have been in-store coupons for $0.75 off the 2% variety (in the little blinkie machine right next to the cheese).
Third, Fry's has milk for $1.57. They also have a scaled back version of their Buy 10 sale. This week, it's "Buy 10 participating items, get $3 off". There aren't as many items included, but still some good deals to be had. I also got my new "personalized" coupons from Fry's yesterday. There's a coupon for free Eggo waffles, and a free pint of Ben & Jerry's ice cream.
Last, Basha's has milk for $1.58 and top sirloin steak for $1.99/lb!!! I think steak is what we will be having for our Valentine's dinner. They also have Eggo frozen waffles for $2 each, and there is a coupon in the 12/14 Red Plum insert for $.75 off.
Nobody had milk on sale last week, and this week, it's on sale all over the place! I bought some yesterday, and will go back on Tuesday and get more before it goes off sale.

Hi Mandy! I came across your blog and I love it!! I just wanted to drop you a line and tell you how much I love your family. Your Mom was such a special part of my life she was the best YW's President, hands down! She helped me out when I needed it the most! I will always be grateful to her, she was just the best!
I also wanted to tell you that you have inspired me to be a better “bargain shopper” you are freaking amazing! Do you use coupon sense or do you figure things out on your own? And if you figure things on your own, all I have to say is WOW! It just seems so unreal that you can save so much money! I can see how you can do it at a grocery store but I am still trying to figure out how you did it at Target!!
P.S. I am hoping to start a garden soon; I would love to see pictures of your garden. This is my first attempt at one and quite frankly I am a bit overwhelmed!
Carolina Sharp (Barrios)
You are so sweet, Carolina! You had a special place in my mom's heart - she saw so much of herself in you!
I have some pictures of my garden from last year. I think they would be in March or April. You might like them.
And, as for bargain shopping, it's something I enjoy. I actually just finished my trial month with Coupon Sense. I didn't renew because it's too much money for stuff I can figure out on my own pretty easily. I look at the grocery ads each week, and a couple of website that point out anything I missed. The Target deals where you can save a lot don't come up very often - the key is to pair a Target store coupon with a manufacturer's coupon. That's how I managed that particular deal.
I'm so glad you stopped by and said hi! Your kids are so cute! Margo looks just like you!
