Going over Budget

I went over my budget this weekend by another week's worth of budget money ($35). But it was well worth it. I went to Basha's to get some of their Top Sirloin Steak that is $1.99/lb. This is the same cut of meat that I order whenever we go to Texas Roadhouse, and the regular price is $8.99/lb. It usually goes on sale for $4 or so. I had the butcher cut some steaks special for me that were a little thicker than what was already out. All in all, I bought 10 steaks, and then at home cut them into 2 large steaks each, plus some small pieces to make fajitas with. We grilled a few of them yesterday, and they were wonderful! I am so happy I went ahead and bought as many as I did. These will be great to freeze, and will be a fun treat to grill every once in a while. I couldn't believe it, if I had paid full price for all of this meat, it would have been almost $250!

And that's one big reason I don't pay full price!
